I'm catching up a little bit here, but the same day I interviewed Ronald Hutton, I also interviewed his former graduate student, Vikki Carr. Vikki's just building her career now, but her doctoral research into familiars is fascinating and we were able to dig in deep into this topic. We also had a great talk afterwards (over beer, of course) on the shifting dynamics of the world in relation to technology, beliefs, community stress-factors, nd rapidly evolving modes of communication.
