Covid-19 has totally changed the context of the film. After a lot of soul-searching this month I've decided to re-edit the feature into a short (possibly two if my grant holds out!) and turn the rest of the interviews into a series of podcasts. New episodes will launch every Wednesday. In my head, it will be like a cross between Serial and Joe Frank's In the Dark but who can say if the end result comes even close to those inspirations.
I'm bummed about this. It's hard deciding to end a four-year run at a magnum opus. But I already feel better about the podcasts than where the film was headed. More soon on the podcast, and more soon on the short(s), but here's to you all -- I hope you and your friends and family are safe and well. It's been a wild ride for sure. And ain't over yet.
