Not everybody was in Cornwall for my soul benefit, of course. (I just felt that way.) Thanks to the great free wi-fi (and Cornish tea) at the Boscastle National Trust, I managed to conduct a Skype interview with Dr. Anna Karoline Kaiser (nee Mitschele) whose research spans economics, history, and political sociology. And what had me excited about her research from go? Anna does social network analysis of the early modern witch hunts, and her research illuminates how elites behave and adapt in moments of social change.
